Manual for Drivers cab controller
Tomix products 5511, 5512 and 5513

The Tomix drivers cab controller can be used with all common 12V DC systems as long as they are not digitally controlled.
Product 5513 with 230V transformer is intended for the european market.

The drivers cab controller simulates the realistic movement of an engine or train, totally without necessary changes on the vehicles and without dcc controls. The maximum power output is 1,2A.
With the acceleration handle you can choose between free run and 4 different acceleration steps. Each step accelerates the train to a specific speed that is then kept. Each additional step accelerates to the next higher speed. The intensity of acceleration can be adjusted via a switch. If you switch the handle to free run the trains keeps its speed and then slowly decelerates (mass simulation).
The braking handle is used to stop the train. Each of the 5 breaking steps brings the train to hold, but with different intensity. This maybe adjusted via another switch. The 5. braking step is intended as emergency brake, the train stops immediately. Also, in accordance with the acceleration handle, the braking handle has a free run function.
The control lamps show you the functions: green for acceleration, yellow for free run, red for braking and additional red for emergency brake.
2 track circles may be plugged in the controller, dircection of movement may be changed via the 2 direction switches.
Via another switch you can adjust the intensity of current that is send to rails when all handles are set to stop. This function is used to override the gap some models have berfore starting. In addition this function can be used to turn on lights on a standing train.
Tomix switches for turnouts may be plugged into the provided devices on side of the controller.
A master switch turns of the entire controller, plugging out is not necessary.
