The Tomix wheel cleaning track is used for cleaning dirty wheelsets, both powered and unpowered. The system is compatible to all common N-systems with minor modifications and can be used both seperately or integrated into a layout.

Function:
Power is supplied via a 12V DC. Connection can be made with 2 methods:
1. Usage of the external cable. It is connected to the standard 12V DC driving connection of a common transformer. The switch of the track is moved to "Aux". With this configuration it is possible to control the intensity of the vibration via the controller. This method is espcially recommended for hevay dirt on the wheels, since it is possible to drive the train (driven by a seperate controller) slowly over the heavy vibrating pads.
2. The vibrating function is powered with the voltage being applied through the tracks. For this the switch must be moved to "Rail". This method is useful for cleaning wheels of "through traffic", for example in hidden stations.
When switched to "off" the track is not working.
It is possible to use the functions polish and scrabbing by simply changing the pads.
